e-Safety: Whole-School Training and CPD

e-Safety should be a top priority in every school - and with training for the whole school, you can ensure everyone understands the risks, and how to use the internet safely. The whole-school training courses Alan offers are:

Governors and Senior Leadership Team Provides a full awareness of the online risks to children (and staff), and the risks and liabilities to the school. Alan will address how school policy can address the risks and liabilities, giving you a full understanding of what everyone within your school should know. All Teaching and Support Staff Provides a good awareness to all staff of the child protection risks related to e-safety. This is a 90-minute session for teaching and support staff designed to satisfy the Ofsted inspection framework. Parental Engagement In this course, Alan makes parents aware of the child protection risks related to e-safety - this time more tailored to a home environment. This is a 60-minute session for parents and guardians regarding e-safety issues and risks to children whilst using digital technology. This is also an opportunity for parents to ask for advice and guidance about any related issues. Social Media for Collaborative Learning This is a 90-minute session for teaching staff, to look at the positive ways in which social media can be used in the school without fear of e-safety risk.

If you require more tailored training that isn’t covered above, please get in touch.

e-Safety for Ofsted

As e-safety is such an important aspect of every Ofsted inspection, we can provide a complete e-safety audit. The audit explores all areas of e‑safety in your school including staff training, education of the children, use of technology and much more. It is designed as a tool for senior management and governing bodies; it identifies any gaps in the school where there may be a risk to the child, member of staff or a school liability. Each report is written and tailored specifically to your school - whether you’re a primary, secondary, special or private school.
